Dunkin’ Donuts is giving away 1 million free coffees for the second time this month after the chain posted a cryptic message on social media.
In a message on Instagram Friday, Dunkin’ posted an image of a “notes” app with line items that included things like “make content for a new spring menu next week.”
“Just gonna leave this here,” the caption for the image read.
But fans were quick to spot that one of the lines read “Another million coffees? April 21st?”
The drop begins at 9 a.m. local time Tuesday in the Dunkin’ app, where customers can use the code “freecoffee1” to redeem the offer.
The chain confirmed the drop to People on Monday, saying in a statement that it “accidentally” leaked the promo code and some “Easter eggs on the summer menu” on social media.
The chain added that Tuesday’s Free Coffee Certificate is valid for seven days after the promo code entry, and will be limited to one per customer while supplies last. Cold Brew and Extra-Large Hot Coffees are not included.
The move follows an April Fools promo in which the chain opted to give away 1,000,001 free coffees, literally one-upping its own prank from 2025 in which it gave away one million coffees.
As for the summer menu hints, if Friday’s message is to be believed, it appears Dunkin’ could be bringing back its Oreo Coolatta, with one of the note items saying “things I miss” and citing the beverage.
Another note seemed to indicate the beginnings of a recipe, though it was not clear if that was related to the new menu. The ingredients included a “medium iced latte with 1 blueberry 1 butter peca…”
It’s not clear when the summer menu, or potential new spring menu, will drop.
