Harry Kinds Pays Tribute to Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie With ‘Songbird’ Overall performance

Harry Styles delivered a tribute worthy of the legendary songbird.

The “As It Was” singer done a poignant tribute to late Fleetwood Mac musician Christine McVie, who died Nov. 30 at age 79, during his most up-to-date “Really like on Tour” stop in Santiago, Chile.

In video captured from the audience on Dec. 1, Variations performed an acoustic guitar as he sang a soulful edition of “Songbird,” a Fleetwood Mac traditional prepared by McVie. At the stop of the song, Styles blew a kiss up to the sky and claimed, “Thank you, Christine.”

But this was no normal tribute to an individual who has died. Types is on the record about becoming a substantial, lifelong Fleetwood Mac admirer. A person of the initially tracks he figured out as a child was “Dreams.” When he met Mick Fleetwood, who he considers his musical hero, he mentioned, “He is a magical man, a person who provides me—and innumerable others—great pleasure.”

And the emotion is mutual. “My 12-12 months-old daughters claimed, ‘Dad we want to go and see Harry Models!'” Fleetwood told Vogue in March. “Two factions from totally unique worlds arrived alongside one another. Without having my women seeking to see One Way, we–Stevie [Nicks] and I–never would have met Harry.”

That fateful face led to Variations getting a portion of Nicks’ induction into the Rock & Roll Corridor of Fame in 2019.

But the address track wasn’t the only time Variations honored McVie. The day ahead of the clearly show, the “Watermelon Sugar” singer shared a photo of the singer/songwriter along with a black heart and dove emoji. He captioned the Nov. 30 post, “RIP Christine McVie.”

McVie passed absent “peacefully” at a healthcare facility following a “short health issues,” her household earlier shared.
