Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo reveal matching tattoos ahead of 'Wicked: For Good' release

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo just commemorated their roles in “Wicked” and their lasting bond in a special way.

With just weeks left before “Wicked: For Good” premieres, the co-stars gave their followers a first look at the matching tattoos they got to celebrate the sequel.

The post, which was shared on both Grande and Erivo’s Instagram pages, included two photos: one of the actors on set, and one of their sweet tattoos.

In the picture, the stars overlapped their hands, with Erivo’s on top of Grande’s. Both tattoos say “For Good,” with Erivo opting to get hers on her left hand on the palm by her thumb. Meanwhile, Grande chose to have hers in the very center of her palm on her right hand.

The duo captioned their post with a message that read: “happy wicked month @wickedmovie ♡ 20 days.”

“Wicked: For Good” is the sequel to the first “Wicked” film, and is set to be released on Nov. 21, 2025. In the films, Erivo plays Elphaba, who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, and Grande plays Glinda, otherwise known as the Good Witch of the East. The Broadway version of the story famously features the song “For Good.”

The story, which is based off a book titled “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West,” is also a Broadway play.

While promoting “Wicked,” Grande and Erivo have gushed about their real life friendship on multiple occasions.

“I think both of us also knew that we wanted more than just this working relationship; we wanted to build friendship, outside of it, which is what we have now,” Erivo said in 2024 while speaking with TODAY’s Willie Geist.

While speaking with the New York Times in 2024, Grande applauded her co-star and friend, saying their friendship was “one of my most cherished parts of this experience.”

“I felt held and like I had a friend every step of the way. I’m really proud of us for how genuinely we took care of each other throughout this whole time,” she said.

Erivo also appeared on TODAY during the 2024 Paris Olympics and told Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb that Grande is “one of the sweetest, kindest people I’ve ever met.”

“We’ve had such a wonderful time doing this together, and we’ve had such an experience learning about each other, learning about what we need and supporting one another,” Erivo said. “She’s stuck with me.”
