The “All’s Fair” actress reflected on her family’s incredible 20-season run on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and pointed to Caitlyn Jenner’s 2015 transition and the intrigue around it as a major reason why the series kept going in its later years.

“We shot the pilot and had no idea what it would turn into, but 20 years on it is still going,” Kim said on the Oct. 24 episode of “The Graham Norton Show.”

“The shows write themselves. Once, when we wondered what might happen next my stepdad turned into a woman and there were two more seasons right there!”

This isn’t the only time that the 45-year-old has reflected on the pivotal moment for her family recently, either. After Alex Cooper asked her to name “the hardest thing that you all had to go through publicly” as a family, Kim mentioned her stepdad’s transition.

In a trailer for Kanye West’s latest documentary, “In Whose Name,” the reality star can be heard crying as she says to her ex, “Your personality was not like this a few years ago.”

“I think that my mom didn’t know how to handle it,” she said on the Oct. 15 episode of “Call Her Daddy.”

“Imagine Kendall [Jenner] and Kylie [Jenner] are like losing their father in their mind. And at that time, Caitlyn wasn’t very open with us about her transition and just kind of came out with it. So we had lots of different mixed emotions.”

The reality star went on to note that she, as well as the rest of her family, were unsure about how to best navigate such new territory — especially when it was playing out so publicly.

“I know Khloe [Kardashian] was super emotional and upset about it,” Kim recounted. “We’re learning this all for the first time and then we wanna be supportive for our little sisters, trying to be supportive for my mom that’s now getting a divorce and making sure we don’t say anything super offensive or even asking questions of like, ‘What does this mean and what is this term and what is this?'”

“We didn’t really know anything,” she added, “so we just had to kind of figure it out and we did it all on camera.”

The reality star faced backlash online after she posted Instagram photos of her summer vacation on Friday and included a snap of herself with her and husband Travis Barker’s 21-month-old son Rocky without a life vest aboard a boat.
