Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom aren’t feeling the fireworks anymore.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor and “Teenage Dream” singer — who started dating in 2016 and are parents to 4-year-old Daisy Dove Bloom — confirmed they have broken off their engagement.
Perry and Bloom — also dad to son Flynn, 14, with ex Miranda Kerr — spoke out with a statement from their reps July 3.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship,” their reps said to Just Jared, “representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting.”
The reps added, “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
After months of speculation, multiple outlets reported June 26 that Perry and Bloom had gone their separate ways.
Indeed, the pair had become the subject of numerous breakup rumors as they continued to spend time apart from each other. Their last public appearance together was in April, during Perry’s infamous journey to space with Blue Origin.

Amid breakup reports, Bloom — who’s been noticeably MIA from Perry’s Lifetimes Tour, which started in April — showed up solo to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy, on June 26. Two weeks earlier, Perry was absent at the premiere of Orlando’s film Deep Cover at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival and didn’t publicly wish Bloom a happy Father’s Day on social media.
The former “American Idol” judge seemed to hint at a broken heart while performing “I’m Still Breathing” in Sydney.
“This song is about a breakup,” she told her audience while opening a gifted package of Tim Tams in a video posted by Daily Mail on June 11. “And this Tim Tam saved me. Thank you.”
This isn’t the first time the couple went from hot to cold. In March 2017, less than one year after they first met at a Golden Globes after-party, Perry and Bloom announced their breakup.
“Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand,” their reps said in a joint statement at the time, “we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”
It didn’t take long for the two to find their way back to each other. A year later in 2018, they made their relationship red carpet official at the Gala for the Global Ocean at the Opera of Monte-Carlo in Monaco. And by February 2019, they confirmed their engagement, with Perry writing on Instagram alongside her gorgeous ring, “Full bloom.”
While the “Roar” singer and “Lord of the Rings” alum may not be in a relationship anymore, the two are ready to move forwards as co-parents.
“She had some good karma coming to us,” Perry said of Daisy during a September 2024 appearance on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up. “She is such our gift and she is such a blessing.”
