Key BISCAYNE — A person was rescued following a helicopter crashed into the water around Critical Biscayne on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Robinson R-44 helicopter went down close to 1:50 p.m. just after the pilot noted engine challenges. Only the pilot was on board and rescued from the plane. Their ailment is mysterious at this time.
The FAA and the Nationwide Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the conditions main up to the crash.
