MIAMI — Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and associates of the Miccosukee Tribe on Monday attended an party to celebrates the inaugural Miccosukee Working day.

The celebration start off soon immediately after noon at Lakeside Auditorium on the University of Miami campus, positioned at 1280 Stanford Generate in Coral Gables.

The celebration arrived on the heels of a new vote by the Miami-Dade County Fee that selected Oct. 9, 2023 as Miccosukee Day, and each 2nd Monday of every October thereafter as Indigenous Peoples Working day.
