FORT LAUDERDALE – A Davie man is struggling with extra than 180 animal cruelty and drug rates after investigators reportedly uncovered he and an additional person were functioning an unlawful dog breeding procedure.
Sean Brodnax appeared in bond court Thursday with a choose reading through from a law enforcement affidavit.
“You have 25 cruelty resulting in pain, demise or suffering to animals,” the judge reported. “You have 25 counts of unlawful confinement abandonment of animals.”
Brodnax was ordered held on $133,000 bond with the courtroom ruling that he cannot have any animals in his possession if he is equipped to publish bail.
The suspect’s protection lawyer argued he did believe that there was merit to the fees.
“The defendant was breeding canine in his house, all this relates to 25 canine in the household, which is not abnormal for an individual who’s breeding pet dogs,” the lawyer mentioned. “I feel this is going to present fairly a piling on simply because of the drug prices.”
On Sept. 13, Broward sheriff’s deputies, Davie law enforcement, and brokers with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms served a warrant at Broadnax and Danielle Palladino’s cell home.
Surveillance online video showed the SWAT crew likely into Brodnax’s mobile dwelling to serve a look for warrant associated to a drug investigation.

While inside of courtroom files say police observed a “trafficking amount of fentanyl capsules and about a kilo of cocaine powder mixed fentanyl…” and the report states they discovered “several fireplace arms which include an AK-47.”
Investigators also found 25 French bull puppies blended with pit bull, and the animals had been highlighted on an Instagram web page.
Law enforcement say this was an “…unsanitary and unlawful pup mill…” alleging some of the puppies had been in “…inhumanely small cages…”that “…did not allow for for the canine to either move or flip around.”
Law enforcement eradicated the dogs from the property with some walking on leashes while some others carried out, with police noting “most of the pet dogs had difficulties strolling or could not walk.”
Investigators explained the scent was overwhelming.
“Upon coming into the respondents’ trailer, a robust stench of feces was immediately visible to the officers that made them gag,” in accordance to court files.
The pet dogs have been seized and taken to Broward Animal Treatment.
