Actor and comic Mike Epps has apologized to followers immediately after safety screeners identified a gun in a have-on bag at Indianapolis Intercontinental Airport.
Brokers from the Transportation Safety Administration named airport police Sunday early morning right after getting a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber pistol loaded with 4 rounds in Epps’ backpack.
Epps, an Indianapolis native who was in town for a comedy exhibit at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, was not arrested, but law enforcement took the firearm.
In a a movie posted on his Instagram account, Epps explained to fans he “had a long night” in his hometown and forgot about the firearm. He reported he carries a gun for security.
TSA officers at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Intercontinental Airport were being surprised Monday when they identified that a single passenger acquired the “greasy” thought to pack a firearm inside a raw hen for their flight out of Florida.
“Shoutout to all my admirers out there and wanna apologize if you’re seeing any negativity about a gun demand at an airport. I experienced a lengthy night, I had a clearly show in my hometown and I practically forgot that I experienced my pistol in my bag,” Epps claimed in the movie.

No fees have been submitted versus Epps.
