Why Jen Shah Is Refusing A person-on-1 Job interview With Andy Cohen

Jen Shah will not be heading to the Bravo Clubhouse before her stint in the Big Residence.

On Jan. 19, the embattled “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star took to Instagram to make clear why she will not be granting Andy Cohen a one-on-a person interview right before she reviews to prison on Feb. 17.

“I will not be carrying out the 1:1 with Andy Cohen and Bravo since of their unwillingness to remove contractual provisions that would allow the community to legally make misrepresentations of me and my story,” Shah wrote in a statement, “relating to any and all subjects, prior to and all through the study course of my participation.”

Shah also indicated that she didn’t want to draw any supplemental unwelcome interest to people closest to her.

“This unique 1:1 was not section of my ‘RHOSLC’ reality television set contract,” she continued. “I promised myself and my loving household that I would not permit this part of my life to be sensationalized and inaccurately conveyed.”

Shah and her husband Sharrieff Shah share sons Sharrieff Jr., 28, and Omar, 19.

Still, Shah mentioned that she does want to have her voice heard—but she’d like to have a tackle on the narrative.

“I would instead remain silent and hold out till I am in a position to precisely share my tale than keep on having finish lies and misrepresentations about me smeared throughout the headlines,” Shah contended. “I intend to converse and you will listen to from me. I will share my tale and this painful element of my lifestyle extremely before long.”

E! Information has reached out to Bravo for comment but hasn’t read back.

As of earlier this thirty day period, Cohen himself appeared optimistic that he would be in a position to sit down with Shah before she starts her sentence.

“I’m hoping to go speak to Jen this weekend,” Cohen reported on his SiriusXM show “Radio Andy” Jan. 9. “I’m hopeful that I can do that, sit down with her in entrance of some cameras and supply that to you.”

Shah was sentenced to six and a fifty percent yrs in prison for fraud on Jan. 6, almost two yrs after she and her former assistant Stuart Smith were arrested in March 2021 on fees of wire fraud and money laundering in link to a nationwide telemarketing scheme. After originally pleading not guilty, Smith improved his plea to guilty in November 2021 and is anticipated to be sentenced in March.

Right after ending her sentence, she’ll be on supervised release for five a long time.

“Jen Shah deeply regrets the blunders that she has built and is profoundly sorry to the people today she has harm,” Shah’s attorney Priya Chaudhry said in a statement to E! Information earlier this month. “Jen has faith in our justice procedure, understands that any person who breaks the legislation will be punished, and accepts this sentence as just.”
