Bob Iger Returns as CEO of Disney Right after Stepping Down in 2020

The Walt Disney Corporation declared late Sunday that former CEO Bob Iger would return to head the company for two years in a go that shocked the amusement business.

Disney mentioned Bob Chapek, who succeeded Iger in 2020, experienced stepped down from the position.

“The Board has concluded that as Disney embarks on an ever more elaborate time period of marketplace transformation, Bob Iger is uniquely located to guide the Business by this pivotal period of time,” board Chair Susan Arnold reported in a statement from Disney.

Arnold thanked Chapek for his assistance, including his time throughout “the unparalleled worries of the pandemic.”

Iger steered Disney as a result of its absorption of Lucasfilm, Pixar, Marvel and Fox’s entertainment corporations and the launch of Disney Moreover.

Earlier this month, Disney posted lessen than envisioned benefits for its fiscal fourth quarter.

Iger led Disney for 15 years prior to stepping down in 2020.
