NEW YORK – Retiring Miami striker Gonzalo Higuaín was voted Big League Soccer’s Comeback Participant of the Year.
The 34-yr-outdated from Argentina scored a workforce-file 16 plans, like 14 in the last 16 standard-period video games right after returning from a knee injury.
He obtained 16.63% in voting by gamers, media and group officials introduced Thursday. San Jose ahead Jeremy Ebobisse was 2nd with 14.93% and Montreal striker Kei Kamara 3rd with 13.67%.
Higuaín joined Miami in September 2020 and scored 12 plans in 2021.
He also performed for River Plate (2005-07), Serious Madrid (2007-13), Napoli (2013-16), Juventus (2016-20), AC Milan (2018-19) and Chelsea (2019). He gained three Spanish league titles and a few Italian league titles, in addition one Europa League.
Higuaín scored 31 targets in 75 intercontinental appearances for Argentina from 2009-18, taking part in in the 2014 Earth Cup final loss to Germany.
