Woman accused of bogus disabled allow plan in Miami Beach


MIAMI – Miami Beach front law enforcement have arrested Nicole Cardona, 26, for a faux disabled allow plan. 

She allegedly sold apps for permanent disabled parking permits, full with cast medical professional signatures, permitting abled motorists to obtain parking placards from the Florida Division of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

“Though profiteering from the sale of illegal handicapped parking placards may appear like a smaller difficulty to a lot of who are living outside of Miami Seashore, this company … is a prison act and impacts the everyday life of numerous inhabitants dwelling in the metropolis,” reported State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle.

The investigation into Cardona began when a Miami Beach detective saw a driver leaving a auto parked in a place reserved for the handicapped. The vehicle had a disabled parking allow displayed but the officer was suspicious.

The driver admitted he had received the placard by way of a female who was providing applications at a cost of $150.

Shortly right after, police went undercover and produced two buys from Cardona.

Miami Beach front officers have been inundated with resident grievances about drivers abusing disabled placards to park in household neighborhoods for unrestricted lengths of time.

“The fraudulent use of disabled parking permits is unquestionably not a victimless criminal offense. The victims are these who legitimately will need the parking areas,” defined Miami Seashore Police Chief Richard Clements.

Pursuing her arrest on Thursday, Cardona is charged with a few third degree felonies, like forgery, and a 2nd-degree misdemeanor of falsifying formal statements.
