(CNN) — Pop star Rihanna will conduct at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, the NFL announced on Sunday. The 57th Super Bowl will take location on February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
The announcement arrives right after both of those Rihanna and the NFL tweeted a picture of the musician’s hand holding a soccer Sunday afternoon, sparking speculation that she would be the halftime performer.
In the NFL’s statement, Jay-Z, whose enjoyment agency Roc Nation is one of various government producers on the halftime demonstrate, referred to as Rihanna a “generational talent.”
“Rihanna is a generational talent, a girl of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at each individual change,” Jay-Z stated in the assertion. “A individual born on the smaller island of Barbados who became 1 of the most well known artists at any time. Self-made in business and leisure.”
Rihanna joins a cadre of musical icons — which includes Prince, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez — who have taken the stage for the halftime display.
