SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS Miami) — One Man is dead and another was transported to the hospital after a home caught on fire early Wednesday morning.
Multiple Units responded to 8000 block of Southwest 94th CT shortly before 3 a.m.

According to police, a man and a woman were awaken by their dog barking when they discovered there home was in flames.
The adult male was taken to Kendall Regional Hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue in Stable condition with second degree burns.

An elderly male who lived in the rear efficiency was pronounced dead on the scene.
The residents of the home told police they had a barbecue the day before.
