Michael Douglas is opening up about the actuality of raising children at an more mature age, from the joys to the “rough” times.
The 79-year-old Oscar winner told the Telegraph in an interview published April 20 that 1 time when traveling to his children’s college or university, he was imagined to be their grandfather.
“‘This is not grandfather’s day, this is parents’ day.’ I say ‘I am a dad or mum!’” he told the outlet. “That was a tough 1.”
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, 54, who have been married for virtually 24 decades, share two kids: son Dylan, 23, and daughter Carys, 21. Douglas also shares 45-yr-previous Cameron Douglas with his ex-spouse Diandra Luker.
Douglas formerly revealed in 2021 that he was mistaken for Carys’ grandfather at her superior school graduation, but he laughed it off.
“I’m not gonna consider it personalized. They are just making an attempt to be nice,” he mentioned at the time.

In the interview with the Telegraph, Douglas also opened up about his regrets from lacking his oldest son’s upbringing due to the needs of working in entertainment.
“Cameron experienced a ton from that time… I was just overwhelmed and overloaded by my perform. And loved ones was seriously using third place following function, our country and then the loved ones, as opposed to when Catherine and I received alongside one another.

Carys turned 21 on April 20, and Douglas and Zeta-Jones celebrated by publishing tributes to Instagram.
