MIAMI – Two unlicensed contractors have been charged with defrauding a South Florida house owner out of $135,000 in a home remodeling rip-off.
Miami police reported Luis Gustavo Arveloteran, 34, and Maria Delosangeles Rosalessolorzano, 33, failed to perform the agreed-upon remodeling operate immediately after obtaining payment from the sufferer.
Detectives claimed the sufferer located the Avelotera and Rosalessolarzano on line although browsing for contractors.
The victim advised investigators he was specified a renovation quote of $270,000 with a 50% down deposit and eager to enhance his assets, he wrote the contractors a check for $135,000.
