MIAMI – The Coconut Grove residence of Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo is set to be auctioned next thirty day period.
In the meantime, Carollo is attempting to prevent the sale in federal courtroom.
Information received by our information partners at the Miami Herald show the auction is scheduled for March 19th.
Previously this month, US Marshals began the method of seizing Carollo’s property to fulfill component of a $63.5 million judgment from him, following a lawsuit by the house owners of the Ball and Chain restaurant in Very little Havana.
On Wednesday, Carollo filed a new movement in federal court to block the auction, arguing that his home is guarded from seizure less than the Florida constitution.
