A Nigerian banker, his wife, and son are among the the six men and women who died in a San Bernardino County helicopter crash Friday night, as the plane was en route from Palm Springs to Boulder City, Nevada. 6 travellers have been verified onboard by the FAA with early Saturday early morning reports stating that “no survivors have been found.”
The Eurocopter EC 130 helicopter, with 6 individuals on board, crashed close to 10 p.m. community time, east of the 15-Freeway in the vicinity of Nipton, which is just west of the Nevada border.
The FAA and the National Transportation Basic safety Board are investigating the crash and situation.
Dr. Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe,57, CEO of Accessibility Bank, experienced expert ties to Nigeria, serving as a Board Member of Nigerian Home finance loan Refinance Company and a member of the Advisory Board for Friends Africa. His wife and son along with Abimbola Ogunbanjoa, a previous chair of Nigerian Trade Group, died in the crash CBS News verified.
The identities of the other two men and women on board the helicopter have not been confirmed.
