FORT LAUDERDALE – A tiny aircraft crashed in the Everglades off I-75 around Weston.
The one-motor Cessna 172 went down about 10:30 a.m. on the north aspect of the freeway.
The plane broke apart on affect in close proximity to mile marker 32. The crash sparked a modest fire on the debris.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Michael Kane confirmed that two people had been killed.
The FAA and the Countrywide Transportation Security Board (NTSB) will investigate.
