BOSTON – A unusual periwinkle blue lobster was caught Thursday morning in Marblehead.
A spouse-and-spouse lobster boat crew manufactured the discover when preparing for Hurricane Lee. Anne and David Rodgers have been transferring their traps, when Anne spotted it amongst their catch they informed the Marblehead Current.
The lobster with a periwinkle blue shell is a rare uncover, about just one-in-two million. The bright coloring is owing to a genetic mutation.
The few finally made the decision to put the lobster back in the ocean for the reason that they anxious about terrible luck with the incoming storm.
