HOMESTEAD – On Monday evening, a vigil was held for two brothers who were being shot and killed over the weekend in S.W. MIami-Dade.
Alexis Martinez Marquez, 19, and his brother Osvaldo Martinez Marquez, 16, have been located in an abandoned portion of a duplex at 10214 S.W. 175th St. Saturday afternoon.
Miami-Dade Law enforcement responded to experiences of shots fired at 5:22 p.m. and found the bodies.

Monday’s vigil was held outside their family’s Homestead apartment. Dad and mom lit candles, posted photos of their sons and hugged pals who came by to provide their condolences.
Sita Marquez, the victim’s mom, explained to CBS News Miami’s Peter D’Oench,
“I am attempting to get some interior power. My sons experienced their faults but they have been superior young ones. I couldn’t imagine it. It seemed like a aspiration.”
She explained, “I want justice, to discover them guilty to stay clear of hurting another person else. It will not likely provide them back but the only point is we all have young children and brothers. You can not know the suffering we are feeling. We are struggling.”
As he fought back tears, the victims’ father Jose Martinez said, “They never ever did everything wrong. They liked to do fishing and development function. Their aspiration was to get the job done so they could make far more revenue for the relatives.
