MIAMI – The CBS News Miami Following Climate workforce is tracking Tropical Storm Lee which formed involving Western Africa and the Windward Islands on Tuesday afternoon.
At 5 p.m. Tuesday, the storm was about 1315 miles east of the Lesser Antilles with sustained winds of 45 mph.
It is forecast to move west-northwest at 15 to 20 miles per hour. It will possible be a hurricane in a couple of times and could become a key hurricane in a couple of a lot more times.
Forecast products show it will most likely be near or to the northeast of the northern Leeward Islands by Saturday or Sunday.
In accordance to CBS Information Miami Main Meteorologist and Hurricane Expert Ivan Cabrera Lee is forecast to switch to the north and away from the US coastline. Even so, it could skirt the northern Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico.
Cabrera reported there are no world computer system models that present Lee as a risk to the US. The only uncertainty is when it will get a turn to the north.
