The bogus Trim Shady is sitting down down.
GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who has taken to rapping on the campaign path, seems to be backing down following Grammy-award winning rapper Eminem asked him to prevent executing his music at marketing campaign activities.
“To the American people’s chagrin, we will have to depart the rapping to the true trim shady,” Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the marketing campaign, informed NBC Information on Monday evening in a text message.
In a stop-and-desist letter received by NBC News and initial reported by The Day-to-day Mail, the audio publishing big BMI explained to Ramaswamy’s marketing campaign Wednesday that it “has received a conversation from Marshall B. Mathers, III, professionally recognized as Eminem, objecting to the Vivek Ramaswamy campaign’s use of Eminem’s musical compositions.”
“BMI will think about any performance of the Eminem Operates by the Vivek 2024 campaign from this day forward to be a materials breach of the Agreement for which BMI reserves all legal rights and solutions with regard thereto,” the letter mentioned.
Ramaswamy, 38, responded Monday on X: “Will The Real Slim Shady Remember to Stand Up? He did not just say what I consider he did, did he?”
