BEDFORD, N.Y. – A child was hurt in the course of an encounter with a bear in Bedford, N.Y. Tuesday.
The 7-calendar year-old was taken to Westchester Health care Heart in Valhalla for therapy for small injuries and is predicted to be Ok, CBS New York’s Tony Aiello claimed.
Responding North Castle police officers shot and killed and the bear.
Its carcass was removed by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation staff. It will be examined for rabies.
Chopper 2 flew around the scene. New York State DEC staff and North Castle Police could be noticed at the location on Hickory Kingdom Highway.
