DAYTONA Seashore – A Daytona Seashore girl accused of killing her roommate reportedly dumped soda on herself in an work to take out proof.
Nichole Maks, 35, is billed with 1st-degree premeditated murder and tampering with proof.
In accordance to the arrest affidavit, an officer was flagged down on July 1 due to a fire at 622 Clark St. in Daytona Beach.
Inside of the residence, the officer identified the physique of Michael Cerasoli, 79, who experienced numerous stab wounds to his torso and blunt force trauma to the back of his head.
Inside the man’s bed room, detectives identified a knife lined in blood near his system. Police say there were two cell phones inside of the home, a person belonging to the Cerasoli and the other to Maks.

She told officers the Cerasoli’s bed room is upstairs and she never ever goes upstairs besides to “feed her spiders.”
When detectives questioned her about the knife and hammer, police she became agitated and refused to carry on cooperating with out a attorney.
When Maks was informed officers ended up going to consider her DNA, she asked for a drink and was delivered a Diet plan Mountain Dew.
Police say Maks poured the soda all over her body and hair “in attempt to interfere with the probable proof on [her body],” an affidavit reads.
According to the doc, DNA tests showed that the victim’s DNA was on the blade of the knife uncovered close to his entire body, and Maks’ DNA was on the deal with of the knife.
Maks remains jailed without having bond.
