MIAMI – An arrest has been manufactured in a lethal hit-and-run accident in Miami-Dade late previous week.
Friday evening, close to 9:45 p.m., Patrick Wiley driving his bicycle in the place of NW 27th Avenue and 75th Avenue was struck and killed by the driver of a Ram 1500 truck.
According to law enforcement, the driver of the truck, recognized as 30-yr-previous Jalil Leyva-Ortega, did not quit to render help or contact 911 for enable. As an alternative, he reportedly drove to his dwelling in the 7000 block of NW 29th Avenue.
On Monday, police observed the truck they experienced been looking for in front of Leyva-Ortega’s household. They explained it experienced front-end hurt reliable with the crash.
Leyva-Ortega has been charged with leaving the scene of an incident involving a loss of life and tried tampering with proof.
