MIAMI — Tyreek Hill spoke with reporters on Wednesday during the Miami Dolphins schooling camp about the investigation into an alleged assault back in June, contacting it a “boneheaded blunder.”
“I am not right here to get into that,” the large receiver explained to reporters. “I’m in this article to enjoy ball.”
Hill also advised reporters that the condition has been “fixed” and that he is at present cooperating with the NFL and giving all the particulars that took place on that working day.
When requested about how the incident would affect his period, Hill shrugged it off.
“When I’m able to come in this article and participate in ball, I get a opportunity to get absent from all that at the close of the day,” he claimed. “That’s the great thing about football.”
Hill then went on to say how grateful he was for the opportunity to continuing actively playing and reform for the better.
“I just make boneheaded issues like that,” he said.
The NFL star was below investigation for an incident that took location again in late June, where CBS Information Miami’s information partner the Miami Herald claimed an alleged assault occurred at the Haulover Seaside Marina, although police were being not notified about what happened until later on.
Miami-Dade Police detectives spoke with the person who was allegedly attacked by Hill, but no expenses have but to be filed.
In a statement following the incident, a Dolphins spokesperson said: “We are mindful of the situation and been in speak to with Tyreek, his representatives, and the NFL. We will reserve further more remark at this time.”
This was not the initially time the 29-calendar year-previous Georgia native had dealt with assault allegations. When he was in college, he pleaded guilty to punching and choking his then-expecting girlfriend.
