(CNN) — LeBron James’ son Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest during a basketball practice at the College of Southern California and was hospitalized on Monday, according to a statement from a household spokesperson.
He is out of the ICU and in secure situation, the assertion claimed.
Bronny, 18, is an incoming freshman for USC’s basketball staff immediately after graduating from Sierra Canyon Significant Faculty this spring. He was rated a four-star recruit and shined in the McDonald’s All-American Game in March that includes some of the country’s best large faculty basketball players.
He averaged 14.1 factors, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 helps and 1.7 steals his senior year of higher university, and joined a USC workforce seeking to get to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive time.
“So damn happy of you child!” his father wrote on Instagram. “I have no text in addition to I Really like YOU!!!”
James, 38, will enter his 21st season in the NBA and his sixth year with the Los Angeles Lakers. The four-time NBA winner and 4-time MVP has mentioned just one of his ultimate goals is to perform in the NBA with his son.
“My past year will be played with my son,” James advised the Athletic in 2022. “Wherever Bronny is at, that’s wherever I’ll be. I would do no matter what it takes to play with my son for one calendar year. It’s not about the income at that place.”
