HOLLYWOOD – A tree topples a residence though a woman was inside Tuesday afternoon. Jamila Mendez suggests a lightning strike is to blame for a tree in her backyard coming down.
“You see your house and there’s a hole in the wall and you never know what is going on or what’s heading to come about. Or what is heading to choose spot from there,” said Mendez.
The collapse happened all-around 1 p.m. Mendez said her mother was inside the kitchen area when the tree came down in her bed room. Mendez, thankful her mother and animals are secure.
However, with the tree snap came a bunch of unwelcomed attendees. Bees! A swarm of them was within the tree stump.
A handful of hours just after the impact tree crews arrived and started working on the home. Mendez stories another person came and addressed the place for bees too.
The city of Hollywood has considered this household unsafe for occupancy at this time.
Mendez is staying helped by the Crimson Cross and is hopeful to be back inside the property quickly.
