MIAMI — A Miami-Dade jury on Friday observed a former Miami Gardens police officer guilty of trespass and battery with a taser but cleared him of five other prices filed from him after he was caught on digital camera positioning his knee on a woman’s neck.
Jordy Yanes Martel showed minor emotion as the jury verdict was announced Friday afternoon. The jury of four gals and two males deliberated for approximately 5 hrs just before returning with a verdict.
Martel was fired from the Miami Gardens Law enforcement Office about five months just after the incident occurred in January 2020.
