Keep-acquired could be fine for Ina Garten, but an Olive Garden copycat recipe is 1 move far too far.
The Barefoot Contessa’s Facebook website page was hacked this week. Apparently, instead of sharing clear spam or profanities, the hacker shared an Olive Backyard Chicken Scampi copycat recipe from a web page referred to as “Only For You.”
“How you know Ina Garten’s Fb account has been hacked: in its place of staying her Hamptons-dwelling, Cosmo-sipping, ‘good olive oil’ working with self, she’s abruptly come to be your Jell-o salad-building fantastic-aunt from Iowa who’s normally putting up Olive Yard copycat recipes,” Emily Pressman tweeted with a screenshot.
In a post from Garten on June 16, she described the incident.
“Thank you to everybody who alerted me that my Facebook webpage was hacked, and to Meta for encouraging us get our web site again!” Garten shared. “I will continue on to write-up my beloved recipes listed here and study all of your excellent remarks!”
Garten is identified for using high-high quality elements, so it tends to make perception that her fans were baffled by the hacker’s recipe-sharing.
“I realized a thing was up,” commented chef Noel Cunningham. “At the time I observed that profile pic transformed to pie I’m like dam they got her.”
“I imagined one thing was odd!! You always share anything own when sharing your recipes and this was just recipes and out of time,” one fan wrote.
“I realized you would not have shared an Olive Yard Copycat recipe!!” commented another.
“Thank you for the data. I was inundated with so many recipes that seemed delish, then I clicked on a person and claimed my mobile phone was compromised,” wrote yet another. “Dang!”
Garten’s Facebook page is now back to regular. All of the extremely off-model recipes have been deleted, and her profile photograph is back to becoming incredibly on-model — a qualified picture of Garten keeping a vase of roses in excess of a perfectly roasted chicken — fairly than a photograph of pie.
