FORT LAUDERDALE — A man suspected of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend and critically injuring one more person previously this 7 days at a luxury Hallandale Beach front resort died Wednesday of an evident self-inflicted gunshot wound in Plantation as law enforcement officers had been attempting to arrest him, law enforcement said.
The suspect, who was not recognized, died in Plantation as federal marshals had approached an Uber car he was in soon just after noon that was in the place of Cleary Boulevard at Pine Island Street.

He was found in Plantation and was observed finding in an Uber, which is when officers approached it and attempted to prevent the automobile.
“When they reached the window of the vehicle, the suspect was found deceased in the back seat of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
The investigation into the suspect stemmed from a double capturing early Monday that happened soon just after midnight in the valet parking location of the Beachwalk Elite Accommodations and Resorts, which is positioned in the 2600 block of E Hallandale Beach Blvd.
Law enforcement mentioned Wednesday that the suspect is the ex-boyfriend of the female who was slain.
“The adult male suspect approached them, shot them both of those and fled the scene,” Abut reported.
The person who was also shot was rushed to a regional medical center, where by he was said to be in critical situation as of Wednesday afternoon, in accordance to police.
Investigators have not recognized him publicly.
