Ireland’s president has led tributes to Mark Sheehan, guitarist with Irish rock band The Script, just after his loss of life at the age of 46.
The band explained Sheehan died in a hospital on Friday just after a transient health issues. In a assertion, The Script named him a “much liked partner, father, brother, band mate and mate.”
Fashioned in Dublin in 2001 by Sheehan, singer Danny O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Ability, The Script topped U.K. and Irish charts with its self-titled debut album in 2008. It integrated the hits “We Cry,” “Breakeven” and “The Guy Who Just cannot Be Moved,” which arrived at No. 1 in five international locations.
The band’s pop-inflected rock audio designed it just one of Ireland’s major bands in the 2010s. The Script went on to have six Top rated 10 albums in the U.K. and a person top rated three album in the U.S.
Irish President Michael D. Higgins praised the band’s “originality and excellence” and sent condolences to Sheehan’s relatives.
“Through their tunes, Mark and The Script have played an outstanding portion in continuing and promoting this very pleased custom of Irish musical good results throughout the planet,” Higgins claimed.
Sheehan is survived by his wife, Rina Sheehan, and their 3 young children.
