FORT LAUDERDALE – A tour of a person some of the spots hit most difficult by flooding reveals hundreds of residences that have been inundated following far more than 25 inches of rain fell on Fort Lauderdale this week.
As CBS News Miami’s Peter D’Oench noticed as he took a tour in Edgewood together S.W. 30th Road and S.W. 12th Av., flood waters have crested just outdoors homes where by inhabitants say in some scenarios they have shed electricity and their cars have been flooded and they say they are stranded.
The city of Fort Lauderdale has deployed 18 Vactor trucks to pump drinking water absent and every metropolis in Broward is reportedly sending units to enable out, as has the town of Miami and FEMA. The metropolis says overnight Fireplace Rescue responded to a lot more than 250 calls but there were being no significant injuries or fatalities reported.
In Edgewood, Luis Gordillo claimed, “My property is absolutely destroyed. Almost everything is wrecked. This is actually lousy. I lost furnishings and I do not know what I am going to do.”
