FORT LAUDERDALE — DoorDash said Thursday that it has suspended functions in Fort Lauderdale due to the fact of enormous flooding in the town.
In an emailed assertion, the company explained it has activated its extreme climate protocol.
“Flooding in Fort Lauderdale has created highway situations that make driving extremely unsafe, if not extremely hard,” DoorDash spokesperson Julian Crowley said in an emailed statement.
More than 20 inches of rainfall was claimed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Worldwide Airport on Wednesday as a storm mobile stalled over the town, swamping streets and neighborhoods.
The National Weather Company issued a flood crisis for Broward County that extends right until Thursday evening.
