PALMETTO BAY – Citizens are up in arms following Palmetto Bay officers say they are euthanizing ducks simply because some are allegedly intense.
“Due to the fact when is a duck intense,” claims resident Heidi Sanchez. “These ducks have been listed here permanently, and now they are intense?”
The Town of Palmetto Bay suggests they’ve been given various reviews of aggressive ducks in the park.
“We experienced an incident in which a duck chased down a minor woman, induced her to drop, trip, and became bloody,” states city councilman Steve Cody.
Cody describes the Muscovy ducks are not able to be rehomed, so the metropolis has euthanized far more than 20 ducks, and say it really is for the protection of people.
“Men and women disregard our indicators that say ‘do not feed the ducks,’ and then these ducks get intense,” claims Cody. “If people left these wild animals on your own, we would not have to do this.”
