FORT LAUDERDALE – It was a scene of overall chaos in the courtyard of Fort Lauderdale Higher University Friday after a series of fights broke out about lunch hour.

Students took mobile cell phone video clips demonstrating fists flying and even protection wrestling students to the floor.

“It was like the WWE,” 1 university student stated.

“I connect with it a mosh pit. Some learners were bleeding,” claimed a further.

Numerous students reported this was a continuation of fights happening off campus this 7 days.

Adding to the disruption some learners could be found banging on doors following a code purple was issued and doorways have been locked.

We asked School Board Member Allen Zeman whether or not that dictated a evaluate of security protocols. He states indeed and that the board would be hunting at all college basic safety at a total-working day conference in April.

“Around 100 pupils were being included in these fights and these caught fighting had been suspended and are off campus and absent,” mentioned Zeman.

No weapons have been found.

Disruptions had been also reported at Sunrise Middle and Stranahan Significant College in Fort Lauderdale. No weapons had been observed there either

Fort Lauderdale Large University has an A+ rating and moms and dads and college students say Friday’s chaos is unprecedented.

Several parents came to the college when they heard about the disruption to pick up their kids, but they experienced to hold out for typical dismissal because the faculty was in lockdown.
