TALLAHASSEE – Vice President Kamala Harris will show up Sunday in Florida to mark the 50th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Courtroom ruling, White Household Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre explained to reporters Wednesday.
Though not delivering aspects of the travel programs, Jean-Pierre said Harris will produce “a main address” about reproductive care.
“She will chat about what is at stake for hundreds of thousands of girls across the place and most importantly the need for Congress to codify the protections of Roe into legislation,” Jean-Pierre mentioned.
The U.S. Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade in June, permitting states to make selections about abortion legal rights.
Gov. Ron DeSantis final yr signed laws that bars physicians in Florida from undertaking abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
The Florida Supreme Courtroom is contemplating a constitutional obstacle to the law.
