FORT LAUDERDALE – Jury range is scheduled to get underway Tuesday in the murder demo of neighborhood rapper XXXTentacion.
Prosecutors are hoping to begin jury selection by the close of January.
The 20-12 months-previous rapper, whose real identify is Jahseh Swayne Onfroy, was leaving a small business in Deerfield Beach front when he was ambushed and shot to dying by two accused robbers in 2018.
There are a few defendants in the scenario. A fourth has taken a plea deal and will testify throughout the trial.
Lawyers for one particular of the murder suspects, Dedrick Williams, submitted a motion for rapper Drake to testify at the trial, believing that prior pressure in between Drake and XXXTentacion could be linked to the murder.
There has not been any proof that Drake was concerned.
