FORT LAUDERDALE — Officers shut a number of northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike at the Interstate 595 interchange immediately after a crash involving a truck just as the early morning commute was shifting into substantial gear.
It was not clear if any one was wounded through the wreck but the incident prompted significant visitors gridlock as crews worked to take away the debris.
Motorists ought to consider alternate routes.
It was not distinct when the lanes would reopen.
