TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Ron DeSantis introduced Wednesday that access to Sanibel Island has been restored for all vehicular visitors just after Hurricane Ian wiped out many sections of the Sanibel Causeway, building it impassable.
The governor mentioned the work was finished around a week in advance of timetable, a development that could assistance the island recover more rapidly from the catastrophic problems left by the storm.
