Pixar enthusiasts are early morning the loss of “Mama Coco.”
María Salud Ramírez Caballero who reportedly inspired the character of Mama Coco in Disney-Pixar’s “Coco,” died in Santa Fe de la Laguna, exactly where she was also born. Roberto Monroy, the Secretary of Tourism for the Mexican state of Michoacan declared Caballero’s death on Twitter Oct. 16.
“I deeply regret the loss of life of Doña María Salud Ramírez Caballero, ‘Mamá Coco,’ a tireless lady and illustration of daily life,” Monroy wrote, “who was the inspiration for this beloved character who went close to the world.”
Alongside with Monroy, many “Coco” fans are using to Twitter to mourn her demise.
One particular user tweeted, “i been crying all early morning. bts are enlisted to the military and would not occur back right until 2025. i just discovered out MAMA COCO JUST DIED THIS Morning. i’m going to view coco tonight,” whilst another tweet read through, “woke up to locate out the serious mama coco died,” accompanied by an array of crying emojis.
The 2017 animated film tells the story of 12-12 months-aged Miguel who strums his ancestor’s guitar and ends up in the mystical and colorful Land of the Useless, the place he meets his deceased excellent-fantastic-grandfather.
