Billionaire Netscape founder Jim Clark acquired a mansion in Wellington for $12 million, by way of a believe in.
Documents display 2000 S Ocean Have faith in, with West Palm Seashore-based legal professional Ronald Kochman as trustee, bought the estate at 12365 Cypress Island Way from Ellen Van Dyke Holtgers and her spouse, Ansgar Holtgers.
Ellen Van Dyke Holtgers is the granddaughter of William T. Haebler, one of the founders of the publicly traded substances firm Worldwide Flavors & Fragrances. Her partner, their son Ansgar Holtgers Jr. and she are all equestrians who contend in Wellington.
The Holtgers acquired the estate for $11 million in 2015, from equestrian, developer and broker Visse Wedel, information display.
2000 S. Ocean Have confidence in is the entity Jim Clark applied in his buy of the 16-acre Ziff family Manalapan estate at 2000 South Ocean Boulevard. Ronald Kochman signed as trustee when Clark bought the estate from the Ziff heirs for $94 million in 2021, and when he sold the assets to fellow tech billionaire Larry Ellison for $173 million in June.
The Wellington estate is a fraction of the size and rate of the Manalapan assets. Constructed in 2013 on 1.2 acres in the personal Cypress Island neighborhood of Palm Beach front Polo & Golf Club, the estate contains a 9,830-sq.-foot key house with 4 bedrooms and five bogs, as perfectly as a two-bedroom, two-bathroom visitor property, according to the listing. The house appears to be out over a water element on Palm Beach front Polo’s Cypress Golf Training course.
Clark’s wife, Kristy Hinze-Clark, is an avid rider, and competes in Wellington as a display jumper. The pair also owns Artemis Equestrian Farms, the barn backing internationally renowned display jumping pair Markus Beerbaum and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum.
This is the 2nd Cypress Island estate to offer in the latest months. Private fairness honcho Marc Denis Oken, whose daughter Alise Oken competes on the equestrian circuit, purchased a mansion in the group for $10 million.
