Olivia Newton-John’s family members and pals are remembering her “magic.”
On Sept. 26, what would’ve been her 74th birthday, many of her loved types paid tribute to the late actress.
Newton-John’s “Grease” co-star John Travolta shared a throwback photo of them on the set of the 1978 movie and wrote, “Satisfied birthday my Olivia.” And though his Danny could have captured the heart of her Sandy onscreen, in real life, she was married to John Easterling, who shared a “birthday memory” on Instagram.
The Amazon Herb Organization founder recalled how he took Newton-John on a “week-very long adventure in the Out Islands of the Bahamas,” in which they rented a household and a boat.
“It was personal, it was superb, and we would get the boat to uninhabited islands and seaside it and just discover,” Easterling shared, “just the two of us.”
But one working day, while they were returning from a journey to Fantastic Guana Cay, issues took a convert and a storm rolled in.

“The wind was howling the boat was rolling and slamming into the waves, rain was stinging like another person throwing thumbtacks in your face,” Easterling ongoing. “Olivia bought powering me keeping restricted as I was navigating this 23-foot runabout with a central consul. The only instrument was a magnetic compass.”
He remembered how he was aiming for Elbow Cay, but because of the minimal visibility, he failed to know if they had blown off training course. But when the storm lifted, Easterling recalled, they have been “completely on system.” As the pair continued on their journey, they observed a rainbow and dolphins leaping by their boat.
“Olivia seemed at me like I was a superhero and I understood it was typically blind religion and dumb luck,” Easterling wrote. “As the dolphins led us more than the gorgeous aqua water, beneath the rainbow to the lighthouse, we the two regarded the fingerprints of the supernatural were being all around this — and which is the way we lived our everyday living. Each and every day with Olivia there was a trace of magic and every single day with Olivia was a bit of the supernatural. Delighted Birthday Honey – I Love You!”
Easterling wasn’t the only family members member to honor Newton-John. Her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, also shared footage from a “birthday dinner for mama,” introducing, “We like you mama.”
Newton-John died at her ranch in Southern California on Aug. 8. She was 73 several years outdated. Her passing arrived immediately after a fight with breast cancer.
Two days later, Easterling thanked admirers for the “ocean of really like and support” and compensated tribute to the 4-time Grammy winner.
“Olivia, Our really like for each other transcends our comprehension,” he wrote on Instagram. “Every working day we expressed our gratitude for this love that could be so deep, so serious, so pure. We under no circumstances experienced to ‘work’ on it. We were being in awe of this great mystery and accepted the practical experience of our really like as previous, current and eternally.”
Dame Olivia Newton-John died Monday morning at her home in Southern California. She was 73.
