The Prince and Princess of Wales are marking a major milestone in their relationship.
On April 29, the royal couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary by releasing a never-before-seen photo of their family.
Prince William and the former Kate Middleton shared the photo to their Instagram page and captioned the post, “Celebrating 15 years of marriage ❤️.”
In the photo, the proud parents lie down outside with their three children. William lovingly scratches their dog’s neck as he beams at the couple’s eldest son, George, 12.
Kate lies in the middle of her family and holds hands with the couple’s youngest son, Louis, now 8, who playfully drapes his legs over his mother. Louis touches his 10-year-old sister Charlotte’s head with his own as she sprawls across the grass and smiles.
The couple’s Instagram followers sent their well wishes in the comments section.
“Beautiful family, a photo that perfectly conveys the love, resilience, trust, and complicity that William and Catherine have built over these 15 years 🥹 Happy Anniversary ❤️,” one Instagram user wrote.
Another commented, “Wishing you a long life together full of love, health and happiness.”
Millions of people worldwide watched the couple’s 2011 wedding, which took place at Westminster Abbey in London.
Kate, 29 at the time, wore a gown designed by Sarah Burton. Her sister, Pippa Middleton, was there to support her and carry her long train. Their father, Michael Middleton, walked the bride down the aisle. Prince Harry served as his brother’s best man.
Soon enough, the newlyweds started a family and welcomed their first child, George, in 2013. Princess Charlotte followed in 2015. Louis, the couple’s youngest child, was born in 2018.
The prince and princess, who met as college students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, have experienced highs and lows in their relationship. Together, they mourned the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
Most recently, the couple navigated Kate’s cancer diagnosis, which she publicly announced in March 2024. Later that year, the princess revealed that she had finished chemotherapy before announcing she was in remission in January 2025.
