Emergency crews responded to reports of a partial structure collapse in Hallandale Beach on Thursday morning, according to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue (BSFR).
BSFR officials said that crews responded to reports of a structural collapse at 1250 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard in Hallandale Beach just before 11 a.m.
When crews arrived at the scene, they said they found a section of the building partially collapsed, and two vehicles were trapped under the debris.
BSFR officials said that, fortunately, the vehicles were unoccupied at the time.
The cause of the structural collapse remains under investigation.
BSFR said that a representitive from the buildings management team, as well as a structural engineer from the City of Hallandale Beach was at the scene for an assessment to determine the extent of the dame, and to decide when, or if, residents will be allowed to safely reenter the building.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident, BSFR said.
No other information was released.
