Watch Monster Energy's pro jet ski riders give a thrilling stunt show on the green Chicago River

A pair of professional jet ski riders put on a thrilling high-speed performance on the emerald waters of the freshly dyed Chicago River on Saturday morning.

Though the show was put on by Monster Energy, it wasn’t a river full of energy drink that the jet skiers rode on.

Since 1961, the Chicago Plumbers Local 130 union has dyed the Chicago River green to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

This year’s river dyeing took place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, shortly before the action-packed performance.

Pro riders Tory Snyder and Coy Curtis shredded on the emerald waters, giving a high-energy freestyle performance — complete with high-speed turns, aerial tricks, flips and 360s.

Catch a first-person perspective of the stunt show on the NBC Chicago’s Instagram from a camera that was attached to one of the riders’ helmets.
