“Traitors” winner Rob Rausch has made good on his promise to faithful finalist Maura Higgins.
After betraying Higgins in the Season 4 finale when he revealed to her that he’d been a traitor the whole game, keeping the full $220,800 in winnings to himself, Rausch apologized and vowed to buy her an Hermès Birkin handbag.
During their joint appearance Wednesday on Bravo’s “What What Happens Live,” Rausch slipped on a pair of white gloves and pulled out the signature orange Hérmes box to presented Higgins with the elusive bag.
“This is my win,” Higgins said. “I knew I’d have my moment.”
The burgundy Birkin Rouge Togo with gold hardware comes with a price tag of around $15,000.
“You’re forgiven,” Higgens exclaimed, as she jumped up to hug Rausch.
So, how did Rausch get his hands on a notoriously hard-to-get Birkin when even Hermés’ most loyal shoppers wait years for a shot at buying one of the coveted bag?
According to the “Love Island” alums, fellow traitor Lisa Rinna helped him secure the bag from a luxury reseller in New York City. Meaning, Rausch likely paid much more as the price of a Birkin bag on the resale market is much higher due to demand and scarcity.
“So Lisa, thank you very much for this,” Higgens said.
