In the latest roundup of South Florida real estate hiring news, the region’s professional groups named new leaders for this year.
The Miami Association of Realtors installed its 2026 leadership at a Feb. 6 ceremony hosted at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. The group, which is the largest local broker association in the U.S., named Compass agent Alfredo Pujol as chairman of the board. Pujol joined Compass in 2024, where he is sales manager of the Coconut Grove office. He previously worked with Keller Williams for 19 years, LinkedIn shows.
The association named Sophia Allen as president of its Broward County division, a release shows. She is broker and owner of the Real Estate Professionals of South Florida in Plantation. Dinorah de Cardenas was named president of the residential division; she is co-founder of the Real Estate Sales Force, a brokerage based in Coral Gables. Denise Chambers Palmer, the broker and owner of Keys to Legacy Realty, was named president of the commercial division. The association tapped Jaime Kriske, a Hobe Sound realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty, as president of its Jupiter-Tequesta-Hobe Sound division.
In other industry group news, NAIOP South Florida named Mark Corlew as its chapter president, a press release shows. Corlew is a co-founder and principal of Grover Corlew in Boca Raton. His firm’s portfolio includes multifamily, retail and office properties totaling more than 10,000 residential units and 10 million square feet of commercial space throughout the tri-county region, according to the release.
In resi brokerage news, David Pulley jumped ship from the Agency to One Sotheby’s International Realty, according to a press release. Pulley, a Miami Beach luxury specialist, has closed more than $500 million in career sales. He joined the Agency in 2024, and was previously with Douglas Elliman for 10 years, according to LinkedIn.
Developer Mikael Hamaoui’s Riviera Horizons tapped Diego Mila de la Roca as a sales associate for the planned Pagani Residences, according to a press release. Mila de la Roca has closed more than $90 million in sales since launching his real estate career four years ago, the release shows. Riviera launched sales for the 30-story, 70-unit Pagani project in North Bay Village in 2024, and it is slated for completion next year.
Law firm Weiss Law brought in Miles Dearden as associate counsel in its real estate practice group, according to a press release. Dearden joins the firm from Shubin Law Group. He previously held roles at D&K Law and Greenberg Traurig. At Weiss, he will focus on commercial real estate transactions, the release shows.
Josh Booty, a former Major League Baseball player who went on to also play in the National Football League, joined Palm Beach-based Township Capital as a brand ambassador and member of its investment board, a press release shows. The real estate private equity firm also recently promoted Jonathan Sparacio to chief operating officer.
